On March 16, 2023, Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko, President of SE "NNEGC "Energoatom" Petro Kotin and the Company management paid a working visit to one of the domestic nuclear power plants.
As Herman Halushchenko pointed out, all available capacities in Ukraine are currently working for the country's energy security, while the enemy's plans have failed: at the end of the heating season, our country runs a surplus of electricity, has sufficient gas and coal stocks, and most importantly, the experience and support of a powerful international coalition.
In turn, Energoatom President Petro Kotin thanked the nuclear power professionals, who demonstrate effective work in extremely difficult conditions, providing the country with electricity:
"Upon one of the power units was taken out of service for scheduled repair, eight other NPP units in the state-controlled territory are operating at maximum available capacity. Electricity is supplied to Ukrainians stably, its amount is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. I am grateful to all nuclear power professionals for their selfless work."
Energoatom is doing its best to provide Ukraine with electricity: it shortens the terms of all types of repairs and restores the operation of power units after emergency shutdowns in record time, Petro Kotin stressed.
Furthermore, Herman Halushchenko and Petro Kotin, involving the head of the primary trade union organization of Energoatom Oleksiy Lych, held a meeting with the management and operational staff of the NPP on production issues, as well as awarded the plant's nuclear workers with the letters of acknowledgement of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the Company's awards "For a significant contribution to the development of the nuclear industry of Ukraine” and certificates of appreciation.
