Within the frame of his visit to Rivne region, CEO of Energoatom Petro Kotin held an operational meeting with NPP Directors General on the results of passing the autumn-winter period and the start of the 2024 repair campaign.
"We managed to achieve 100% installed capacity utilization factor during the wintertime. This result is a major accomplishment, which was reached due to the coordinated activities of all nuclear power professionals while operating power units and given the right approach to the repair campaign," said the head of NNEGC.
He emphasized that Energoatom plans to remain in prompt and high-quality scheduled outages in 2024.
"This year's maintenance campaign has recently started. We have planned that its total duration at all units will be 617 days. Of course, the quality of the work performed remains our top priority. However, in the light of experience, I believe that even this period can be reduced," Petro Kotin informed.
He explained that the speed up of repairs was made possible, in particular, owing to:
☑ optimization of the work on the shipment of spent nuclear fuel;
☑ involvement of personnel from Zaporizhzhia NPP and more employees from other Energoatom branches;
☑ transfer of NPP equipment for repair due to its technical condition.
Lastly, Petro Kotin presented certificates and letters of appreciation to Ukrainian nuclear power workers and Directors General of domestic NPPs for their diligent work and professional excellence.
