#STANDWITHUKRAINE

A SANY mobile crane with a lifting capacity of 50 tons will be used in the completion of Khmelnytska NPP power units 3 and 4

The special crane has already been delivered to the KhNPP site and will operate on the completion of power units 3 and 4. Thus, it will be used to dismantle the temporary structures of the 3rd power unit and remove the external wall panels of the turbine hall.

Additionally, the crane will carry out handling operations, especially at height. Later, SANY should be involved in the installation of metal structures and the turbine hall framing, as well as wall sandwich panels, and in the construction of new power units using the Westinghouse AP1000 technology. Its telescopic boom is capable of lifting the cargo up to a height of 42 meters, which is enough to work on the upper markings of the reactor compartments of the units under construction.

As a reminder, the SANY mobile load-following mobile crane with a lifting capacity of tons was purchased for the needs of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, but it failed to operate there. Due to the ZNPP occupation by the russian military, the supplier delivered this special crane to the site of the SS “Emergency Technical Center”. Therefore, it was sent to the Khmelnytska NPP where it started operating.
