On September 26-30, 2022, the 66th session of the IAEA General Conference is held in Vienna, Austria. Delegations of 175 countries, including Ukraine, attend it.

Among the main topics of this year's IAEA conference are threats to Ukraine's nuclear and radiation safety due to russia's occupation of Ukrainian nuclear facilities, primarily the Zaporizhzhya NPP.

SE «NNEGC «Energoatom» is represented by the Chief Advisor to the President of SE «NNEGC «Energoatom», former Ambassador Oleksandr Motsyk and Director for International Cooperation of Energoatom Denys Yehorov. The Ukrainian delegation is headed by Acting Chairman of State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine Oleh Korikov.

During the conference, they hold consultations with the IAEA and key partner countries regarding the cessation of russian shelling of the Zaporizhzhya NPP and the need for complete demilitarization and deoccupation of the ZNPP, including the withdrawal of the russian military, their equipment, weapons, and rosatom personnel from the site of the plant and adjacent areas. In particular, meetings have already been held with representatives of the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany and Poland.

The Energoatom delegation held a number of meetings with the heads of key foreign partner companies, including Westinghouse, Holtec, Framatome and EDF, as well as discussed the construction of new nuclear power plants in Ukraine using American technologies and, in general, the introduction of the cutting-edge developments in nuclear energy.
