Even under martial law, Energoatom continues the program of strategic construction of new power units – Petro Kotin

On March 28, 2023, President of SE "NNEGC "Energoatom" Petro Kotin visited the construction site of the next Ukrainian nuclear power unit and got acquainted with the course of preparatory work. "Even in such challenging times," he stated, "the Company's employees are making every effort to perform under the approved schedules to achieve the set goals on time."

The head of Energoatom noted that Zaporizhzhya NPP skilled specialists, who were forced to leave their homes and jobs due to the russian occupation of the power plant and its satellite town of Enerhodar, would work at the facility.

"Ukrainian nuclear power professionals demonstrate an extraordinary readiness to work for the development of the domestic nuclear industry, which means strengthening Ukraine's energy independence. And now, Energoatom is doing everything possible to ensure that our state continues to move towards a carbon-free, clean future, an integral component of which is atomic energy," he said.
