International Chornobyl Disaster Remembrance Day
38 years ago, the world was shaken by the most terrible man-made disaster – the accident at the Chornobyl NPP. A disaster that changed the lives of millions of Ukrainians and had irreparable environmental and humanitarian consequences.
The russians put the world at risk again by occupying the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the spring of 2022, violating all principles of nuclear and radiation safety. However, if the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to liberate the Chornobyl plant, then the Zaporizhzhia NPP, the largest plant in Europe, is still under the control of the enemy. Every day, the occupiers can provoke a catastrophe worse than the Chernobyl NPP accident.
Our nuclear employees, the Armed Forces, the entire Ukrainian people continue the fight for the safety and protection of our planet from nuclear threats. After all, radiation knows no limits and borders...
Let's honor the memory of those who died as a result of the Chernobyl accident, let’s support those who continue to deal with the consequences of this tragedy, and work together for a safer future for everyone.
