The ZNPP has not had a single incident over 40 years of operation, but after being captured by ruscists, it became a threat, - Head of NNEGC Petro Kotin

Head of Energoatom Petro Kotin emphasizes that the largest nuclear power plant in Ukraine – Zaporizhzhia NPP – has not had a single incident over 40 years of operation. However, after the capture of the ZNPP by ruscists, it became a threat

According to him, due to the actions of the russians, the degradation of equipment at the Zaporizhzhia NPP is increasing, and the power plant itself is in disarray. “The plant does not practically exist. There is a military base there, there are military, incomprehensible personnel,” Head of NNEGC adds.

Petro Kotin stresses that it is necessary to restore the transmission of data about what is happening at the Zaporizhzhia NPP – to the official operator Energoatom, the regulator and the IAEA, as soon as possible. At the same time, only the deoccupation of the Zaporizhzhia NPP will protect the world from a catastrophe.
