From the beginning of the seizure of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and the occupation of the town of Energodar, Energoatom assumed responsibility for the well-being and support of its employees.
Starting in 2022, the employees of the ZNPP who left for the territory under the control of Ukraine were transferred to a forced downtime with a payment in the amount of 2/3 of the position salary.
The Zaporizhzhia NPP specialists, who, being in the occupied territory, did not betray Ukraine, and till the last ensured the stable operation of the ZNPP, but since February 2024 have not allowed on the territory of the nuclear plant, have been transferred to a forced downtime with increased pay in the amount of 1.4 of the position salary, and since 01/06/2024 in the amount of the position salary.
Moreover, an additional bonus in the amount of 20% of the position salary (50% since 01/01/2023) has been established for employees who selflessly worked in difficult conditions caused by the occupation and ensured the safe operation of the ZNPP, with its payment after the de-occupation of Energodar.
“For us, every employee of the Zaporizhzhia NPP is not only an employee, but also a part of our numerous family. It is important to support them during the difficult times of the occupation, because their contribution to safety and energy stability of our country is invaluable. We stand together, and our support is necessary to ensure their well-being and confidence in the future,” head of Energoatom Petro Kotin mentioned.
In addition to robust social support, Energoatom actively transfers its employees to work at other nuclear power plants, the Company's branches and central office. If there are vacant positions in the Company's branches, employment priority is given to the ZNPP employees. Moreover, additional positions have been established in the branches of the separate entities, to which the transfer of ZNPP employees has been organized. For the purpose of their social support, a decision was made to pay them the above-mentioned bonus ahead of time.
According to Petro Kotin, this helps to save jobs and ensure continued career growth of ZNPP specialists.
Energoatom recognizes the importance of investing in its employees. The Company believes that the stability and support for personnel is the basis for the successful operation of our country's energy complex.
