Yesterday, December 22, 2022, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko and the President of Energoatom Petro Kotin congratulated the employees of SE «NNEGC «Energoatom» on Power Engineer’s Day.
While congratulating the nuclear workers, the head of the government thanked the Company's team for the smooth operation of the generation and awarded a number of employees with certificates of appreciation from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for their honorable contribution to ensuring the stable operation of the domestic power industry in the conditions of martial law, dedicated work and operational excellence, as well as presented valuable gifts.
While joining in congratulating, Herman Halushchenko emphasized that the security of the energy supply of the whole of Ukraine largely depends on the effective work of nuclear power engineers.
«I sincerely congratulate you on this holiday. I wish you, all of us, strength. Power engineers have already proven that they have great inner resilience. May all your qualities together help to win this war as soon as possible, and it will certainly happen. I am sure that we will celebrate the next Power Engineer’s Day under different conditions and definitely after the parade of our victory. Happy holiday!» the minister said.
And Petro Kotin, having congratulated everyone present on the professional holiday, stressed that as of the morning of December 22, 2022, all 9 power units of domestic nuclear power plants located on the Ukraine-controlled territory are in operation.
«The same situation was until the outbreak of the war: last winter, all 15 of our nuclear units were operating and providing maximum power to the Ukrainian energy system. I am certain that this will always be the case – we will support our economy and ensure the operation of all power units at their maximum. It was on Power Engineer’s Day that one of the NPPs launched a power unit, the ninth in total,» Energoatom CEO noted.
