Nuclear has been providing up to 70% of Ukraine’s energy

“Nuclear has been providing up to 70 per cent of Ukraine’s energy at a peak times during the evening. The personnel at the plants have been working extremely hard to fulfil the mission of keeping the heat on throughout the winter,” said Gale Hauck, DOE representative of the U.S. Embassy to Ukraine, during her speech at the International Conference “Nuclear Energy Opportunities for Country’s Development: Wartime and Postwar Reconstruction”, organized by JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”.

“It is absolutely imperative that we keep these plants operate safely. In a long term, I am excited to see the completion of new nuclear units in Ukraine with the U.S. wendor as a partner,” Gale Hauck emphasized.
