On September 20, 2022, a meeting on the RNPP protection and defense was held at the Rivne nuclear power plant.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Rivne regional military administration Vitaliy Koval, the Director on physical protection and special security of SE «NNEGC «Energoatom» Serhiy Rossokha, Acting Director General of Rivne nuclear power plant Pavlo Kovtonyuk, Head of the United grouping of troops «Volyn» Lieutenant General Volodymyr Kravchenko, Chief of the National Police Headquarters in the Rivne Region Oleksiy Kamyshanskyi, as well as representatives of the State Emergency Service and the National Guard of Ukraine.
The participants discussed measures for the defense and protection of the Rivne NPP under the conditions of russian military aggression and the existing threat of invasion by Belarus. In particular, it was about strengthening the protection and security of both the nuclear plant itself and the satellite town of Varash.
Furthermore, the meeting paid attention to preparation for the 2022/2023 autumn-winter period and the necessary measures for its successful passage.
