Petro Kotin, Head of Energoatom, said that during his communication with journalists.
According to him, already after the annexation of Crimea, the Company started to work on gradually rejecting the supply of spare parts manufactured in the russian federation.
“Energoatom has a separate unit that produces a large number of spare parts. Those spares, that we are not yet able to manufacture, are supplied by us from our partner countries of the Western world. We have practically replaced all the spare parts that were supplied from the russian federation,” said Petro Kotin, commenting on the implementation of the repair campaign at the NPP.
At the same time, Head of Energoatom emphasized that the main challenge was the situation in the national power grid. After all, in view of the significant destructions caused by the russian shelling, nuclear engineers faced an important task – to optimize repairs in order to leave maximum power in the grid.
