On February 16, 2023, during a working visit to the Khmelnytskyy nuclear power plant, President of SE "NNEGC "Energoatom" Petro Kotin inspected the progress of works on the completion of power unit 3.
Currently, at the KhNPP-3, a roof has already been installed, heating has been carried out, and cleaning and painting works are underway. Soon, Energoatom will be ready to start installing the equipment.
"Despite the military situation and extremely difficult conditions the Ukrainian nuclear workers faced with, Energoatom continues to build new power units. We clearly understand how important nuclear generation is for the operation of the domestic power system and for our citizens, who suffer from enemy shelling and, as a result, power outages," Company President Petro Kotin said.
During the visit, Energoatom CEO also inspected the sites that are being prepared for the placement of construction infrastructure, and the enterprise at which the process of manufacturing construction structures is being adjusted. They will be utilized for the completion of the Khmelnytsky NPP power unit 3, and later for the construction of new units using Westinghouse AP1000®️ technology.
