#STANDWITHUKRAINE

Ukrainian professionals have repaired and put into operation the 750 kV ZNPP - Dniprovska high-voltage transmission line This line was damaged yesterday

October 8, at 00:59 am due to russian shelling on the territory controlled by Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region. After that, the event of full black-out happened at ZNPP followed by the start-up of all backup diesel generators.

Currently, after almost a two-day operation of the emergency core cooling pumps powered by diesel generators, the operational staff is restoring the normal scheme of powering the plant's in-house needs from the energy system of Ukraine.

The radiation background at the ZNPP site and the adjacent area did not change and is within normal limits.

This time, thanks to the courage and professionalism of the ZNPP nuclear workers, a negative scenario was avoided yet again.

However, the russian military continues to carry out provocations and shelling of Europe's largest nuclear power plant, bringing the world closer to a nuclear and radiation disaster over and over.
