On February 6, 2023, the Ukrainian side met with a new team of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency, who will arrive at the Zaporizhzhya power plant site this week to continue the work of the IAEA's permanent mission. The meeting was attended, in particular, by Acting Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine Oleh Korikov, Acting ZNPP Director General Dmytro Verbytskyy, and Chief Engineer of the power plant Ihor Murashov.
Due to the russian occupation of the ZNPP and denying access to the legitimate management for its site, the meeting was held in online mode.
During the video conference, they discussed the current situation at the Zaporizhzhya NPP, as well as the further plans of the IAEA mission, in particular, regarding the most critical issues of the plant's safe operation.
