Energoatom, IAEA and French government signed a cooperation agreement

On May 5, 2023, SE "NNEGC "Energoatom", the IAEA and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France concluded a tripartite agreement on cooperation. On behalf of Energoatom, the agreement was signed by the Vice President of the Company Hartmut Jacob in Kyiv, while the partners – in Vienna.

The document provides for France to assist Energoatom in purchasing spare parts for diesel generators through the IAEA.

Hartmut Jacob emphasized that "for Energoatom, cooperation with the French government is crucial and significant, as it will help the Company furnish with equipment that is of utmost importance for the safety of the NPP."

"On behalf of SE "NNEGC "Energoatom", I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the government and people of France for the assistance provided, to the IAEA experts for their promptness and the possibility of its implementation, and to all colleagues of the parties involved for the organization and preparation of this signing," Energoatom Vice President summed up.
