The export license was granted within the qualification project of Energoatom as a supplier of nuclear fuel components manufactured in Ukraine using state-of-the-art Western technologies. The line for their production is already operating at the facilities of one of the separated subdivisions of SE "NNEGC "Energoatom".
During the current year, the Company plans to launch the industrial production of bottom nozzles, while starting next year – top nozzles.
Regarding positive decision – obtaining a license – President of SE "NNEGC "Energoatom" Petro Kotin emphasized: "As early as 2026, our Company plans to create its own line with a full cycle of nuclear fuel production, in order to provide itself with domestic nuclear fuel for 50% of the annual need."
As a reminder, on March 16, 2023, Energoatom CEO Petro Kotin and Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko paid a working visit to the first unique production facility of nuclear fuel components in Ukraine.
