On December 1, 2022, the President of SE «NNEGC «Energoatom» Petro Kotin met with Holtec International Vice President Riaz Awan.
During the meeting, the heads of the companies discussed the progress of joint projects and future steps to deepen cooperation amid russian military aggression.
Petro Kotin thanked Holtec International for the ongoing support of Ukraine in this difficult time for the country. The US company helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine and supplies equipment for the restoration of the energy infrastructure damaged due to russian missile attacks.
In turn, Riaz Awan highlighted the heroism of Ukrainians in resisting russian aggression and assured the readiness of Holtec International to continue providing the necessary support.
As a reminder, the US Holtec International, a long-term partner of Energoatom, was the contractor for the construction of the Centralized Spent Fuel Storage Facility, which was put into operation in April 2022.
